论英语中“牛和“牛肉”的各种词汇，你分清楚了吗

1. OX 指阉割过的公牛，也可以表示;一般的，不分性别的通称牛，引申含义是蛮小伙子不醒目，笨手笨脚的又大只的人。Oxen 是OX 的复数形式。同样有阉公牛的意思的单词是steer。

2. cattle 一般只奶牛或是农民养的黄牛，也泛指一般的肉牛牲口。cattle本身就是复数名词， 所以不存在 one / a cattle 的说法。
