Environmental degradationhas been regarded as a challenge that must be overcome in the 21st century. It is believed that the rapid environmental deterioration has caused serious threat to our existence. In order to end this concern , all the countries in the world need to join forces, rather than their separate efforts for their own goals.
There are two causes that people support international cooperation. One is that the environmental degradation influences the world on a global scale. It is common knowledge that We have the same ecosystem and the component of which is interrelated. For example, the rivers of a country may be polluted by sewage dumped by its neighbouring country. The other is that the efforts of a country may be futile without other country's participation. It should also be noted that some countries do not have enough resources (including funding and technology) to reduce pollution, even if they have realized the importance of environmentprotection. Only cooperating with developed countries can they introduce technology and experience and continue to enforce their environmentally friendly policies.
Although the international cooperation is very important, all the countries must take the initiative invironmental policies.
It is fair to say that environmental issues facing each country are different. For example, China's greenhouse gas is mainly produced by the electric power industry, and America's greenhouse gas is mainly attributed to the car. So some internationally applicable technology and methods are not necessarily effective in some countries. In addition, all the nations need to make environmental laws to improve their citizen's consciousness,which can help restore the environment better.
All the countries need to work together to reduce environmental deterioration, not only because the ecosystem is a unified system, but also because it can make optimal use of financial andhuman resources. In a country or region level, itis also important that they commit their resources to reduce environmental deterioration.
