其中programmed to是什么意思呢？固定搭配么？
programme, 可做动词和名词，这里是动词，被动态programmed, be programmed to 直意为被设定为。。程序。。

其中frequent，shorter sessions 可以这么用么？ and 后面那个for为什么这么用呢？thus后面的maintaining为什么是ing格式呢？
frequent 和short 是形容词，是来修饰sessions的，这里用的是两个词的比较级，more frequent 和 shorter....语法上没有错
and 前后连接的是连个并列的成分， 注意观察 allow for XXXXX and for XXX
      maitaining 之所有用ing 是用作结果状语，因为maintain的主语和前面一句的主语是同一个“the great flexibility”，所以可以省略，直接用动词ing 形式。
